A brief history of how a shared love of the game became a mission.
Links of Valor is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that was founded by veterans, for veterans. After years of deployments and countless lives lost on and off the battlefield, we recognized one of the most important pieces to healing mental and physical trauma was to spend time with others who understand. We turned to golf as a way to build bonds, develop physical and mental resilience, and challenge ourselves while attempting to conquer our new objective — golf.
Once we realized the impact golf could have, we founded Links of Valor to share our LoVe of golf with other veterans in the hopes they would realize these same benefits. Our goal is to leverage golf through hosted events, linking veterans with existing golf programs, and raising awareness — doing our part to reduce depression, anxiety, and hopefully suicide, among veterans.
