This week's annual event in Miramar Beach hosted 4 new and 5 returning Veterans of varying skill levels. The hot, sunny weather allowed our veterans to complete 6 fun and competitive rounds in 5 days of play. This shared passion for improvement led to several visits to our friends at National Golf Outlet for new clubs, balls and gear. 

Our veterans were fortunate to play some incredible courses in the area including The Raven, The Links, Baytowne, and Emerald Bay. They were all grateful to the people of Sandestin Golf & Beach Resort for their incredible hospitality and well kept courses. It was a humbling experience to see and hear the appreciation for their service.

Even with all this golf on this schedule, LoV was still able to host a day of comraderie and rememberance for September 11th on the bay. This day allowed our vets to relax, unwind, and bond over shared experiences with some sharing stories of deploying soon after the event, and others sharing how it drove them to serve their country.

Although the week seemed to fly by, friendships were formed, and a passion for golf ignited, in all of our Veterans. We hope they all find the challenge of golf a passion that helps build their resilience, and drives them to keep on going no matter how the shots in golf, or life, break. 

Hosted in the beautiful Miramar Beach Florida for the first time in 2023! This was an incredible 5 day 4 night golf retreat. The veterans of 2023 played 4 of the best courses in Miramar beach, The Links, Raven, Baytowne, and Sandestin for 6 rounds of golf. The trip culminates in an Awards dinner with awards for best overall score and most improved which was a great time for all.

This retreat served to solidify several Veteran's love for the sport, and helped reconnect all to other Veterans who shared the same experiences during their service.
